No Stopping, Standing, or Parking had its inspiration in the common freeway sign.  We’re driving 65, 70, 75, or who-knows-how-many miles per hour, passing one beautiful vista after another, and the mantra is NO STOPPING!!  That’s life: always trying to get to some destination, never pausing to breathe life in.  So if you have to do it, take it with a lead foot... This work was written for Adam McCord and the Upland Saxophone Quartet.  They premiered the piece at the 2008 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference.
